Going Bananas Day Five - Jemimah

Fancy Dress Friday was fab! There were some colourful clothes on display today! Ripe and Rotten were a barrel of laughs. Ripe set Rotten a challenge. She placed some eggs on the ground, and asked Rotten if he thought he could walk from one end of the room to the other without breaking them. Ripe thought he could!

Captain Banana blindfolded Rotten, while Ripe switched the eggs for some cornflakes! Rotten crunched his way across the room, thinking that he'd broken the eggs! We laughed for ages!

Today we met Jemimah from the Time Shed. She went bananas for God, and broke expensive perfume over the feet of Jesus. Jemimah had been naughty in her life, and was really sorry. So she washed Jesus feet to show how much she loved him. Jesus was pleased with what she did.

Captain Banana taught us that Jesus is our King, who went bananas for us. Jesus died on the cross and rose in three days. We all thanked God for what Jesus did, and asked him to help us go Bananas for God!

Going Bananas Family Fun Night

Oh what a night! Food, family, friends, and lots of fun! After a feast of food, we all boarded Going Bananas Airlines, took off and landed at Banana Island Two!

It was fab! There was Banana Pin the Tail on the Monkey, Banana Fishing, Banana Splash, Banana Skip, Banana Face Paint and much much more!

Captain Banana invited everyone to Going Bananas Family Service at Knockbreda Parish Church on Sunday for lots more fun. Its at 10am and will last for 45 mins (approx.) Oh forgot to mention, we sang the Going Bananas Song, "Here we are down by the sea... " Lets hope we get to sing it on Sunday!

Going Bananas Day Four - Zacchaeus

Lights, Camera, Action! Banana Island Passengers took to the stage and acted out a story about Zacchaeus meeting Jesus. Earlier, Zacchaeus had made a special appearance from the Time Shed (with Bowler hat and brief case!) Zacchaeus gave back all the money that he had stolen from people. Why the change of heart? Well, Zacchaeus explained how he had met Jesus, and how he was now a new man!

Also, we made some banana trees to remind us that Zacchaeus had climbed the sycamore tree to see Jesus! Ripe and Rotten were as cool as ever! And Captain Banana's flight was still very bumpy!

Tonight we are looking forward to a Family Fun Night, from 6.30pm - 8.00pm. Its going to be lots of fun! Our friends and family can come too! And we will enjoy food and lots of games!

If your happy or your sad, if your gloomy or your glad......... lets all GO BANANAS!

Going Bananas Day Three - Elijah

Elijah's Altar
Fun, fun, fun with a capital F! We made flags, flames and built an altar! We played a really cool game Bananabrain, and beat the Gorilla! We heard a very exciting story about Elijah from the Bible, and even met him when he appeared from the Time Shed! Best of all, we learnt that God is the True God who answers our prayers!

Ripe and Rotten with the Mystery Gorilla (and his Piranha!)

Going Bananas Day Two - Gideon

Day Two of Going Bananas was action packed with lots of fun, games, and a bible story about Gideon (and his 300 men!). Ripe and Rotten were dead cool and silly. Everyone enjoyed the 'The Bread Roll' game. Best thing of all, we discovered that we can trust God to help us.

Some of Banana Island Passengers stayed for a picnic and Easter Egg Hunt. After lunch we played some great games! 'The Cat and the mouse' game was just brill! Then we went on an exciting Easter Egg Hunt! Cant wait for day number 3! What special Bible character will we meet tomorrow?!
